  • Fast Recovery Rectifier Diode :Features a short reverse recovery time, generally within a few hundred nanoseconds, suitable for higher-frequency rectifier circuits, such as the rectifier part in switching power supplies. Common models include FR107, HER307, etc.
  • Schottky Rectifier Diode :Characterized by a low forward voltage drop and extremely short reverse recovery time, typically tens of nanoseconds or even shorter, thus achieving high efficiency and switching speed. However, its reverse voltage rating is relatively low, generally between tens and hundreds of volts. Application Scenarios

  • Power Circuits :This is the primary application area for rectifier diodes. In power adapters of various electronic devices, it converts alternating current (AC) from mains electricity into direct current (DC), providing a stable DC power supply for subsequent circuits. For example, mobile phone chargers use rectifier diodes to rectify 220V AC to a DC suitable for charging the phone.
  • Rectifier Bridge Circuit :A rectifier bridge, consisting of four rectifier diodes, can fully rectify AC to DC. In devices requiring a larger DC power supply, such as television sets and computer power supplies, rectifier bridge circuits are often used to increase rectification efficiency and output power.
  • Signal Processing Circuits :In some signal processing circuits, rectifier diodes can rectify AC signals into DC signals for subsequent processing. For example, in a peak detection circuit for audio signals, a rectifier diode is used to extract the peak value of the audio signal, converting it into DC voltage to control parameters such as the gain of an audio amplifier.
